PBP format not fully supported?

I have an issue with few of my PS1 games in PBP format, mainly multi discs games, Final Fantasy 8, and Fear Effect.
On android ePSXe doesn't even see theses games and when i load them by file it says IMG/BIN not found or 7-zip format not support, but the same game/file work without any problems on the PC version.
It sees the game normally in game browser and boots and playes them normally.

Any ideas?

Dropbox sync issue on Android app

Hello everyone.

I'm new here, and I also have an issue with the Android version of the emulator...

I want to make the save files from my phone to sync with the ones on PC, by selecting them from the synced Dropbox folder (2nd image)

But for some reason, seems that the memory card file isn't being sent from the Android emulator, as I can't find them in my Dropbox folder...

am I missing something or doing it in the wrong way?

Is there a way to add filters when using OpenGL?

Mainly asking for FF8. The 3D's look amazing when running OpenGL, but without the use of xBR, the pre-rendered backgrounds are pretty jagged.

Hello All,

I have had a look around and am unable to spot a previous thread answering this.

I should start with saying I am quite new to the brave new world on emulation and android so apologies in advance if this is a simple fix.

I have downloaded the ePSXe app on my Android and it is all working fine. I'm happily playing Crash Badicoot and reliving my childhood.

I have a PS4 and have paired my Dualshock 4 to my phone via bluetooth. It says 'paired' in the bluetooth menu but I am unable...

Xbox 360 controller not detected

Hi
Today I was trying to use my xbox 360 and see how it works with ePSXe Android app. To plug it to my phone I use this adapter. Unfortunately, it woundn't work since only all four lights are blinking and I can't do anything.


Does anybody know what the reason is?

Hardware threading halves fps?

When turning on HW Software threading it halves the fps in my games which is odd, shouldn't threading help the performance.
Granted it's experimental since it was implemented but still.

My device GPD XD.

Oddly enough this doesn't occur on my smartphone, but then granted my phone is tad better then GPD XD but playing with touch controls suck.

ePSXe Android suddenly exit when I want to set gamepad?

When I want to set up gamepad I go to Preferences and then to Player 1 and when I press Select Gamepad, ePSXe come out completely and I need to start ePSXe apk again?

The same situation is when I press: Player 1 map button?

I can't configure my gamepad and I can't use gamepad at all.

Please help. What I can do?

I'm using android 4.4.4 and ePSXe 2.0.8 apk.

Hi, I have some problems when using opengl plugin on epsxe android. I really want to have a smooth graphics on my games however I can't seem to find a good configuration which will let me play it flawlessly without glitches. As an example the playstation logo is not showing on startup, objects with transparency is black or has some weird texture on any game and some effects in games like the swirling effect when encountering enemies on Breath of Fire 4 is black/gone. I tried many...

Q: How to fix blank game cover?

I'm getting a blank game cover art. The game cover doesn't appear it was just a white color. I already tried to re-scan the games a few times but it still don't show. The games work just fine but all of my games don't have a cover.

Weird graphical glitch on some 3d games.

Lately I notice a really weird bug in some 3d games while using the hardware render .
It's like the polygons that make the outer walls of the levels are breaking up randomly.
Here's a few screenshots, mind you this effect isn't static like in the pic it changes rapidly depending on the camera view.

Any clues? This glitch is not present in the opengl render and no setting seems to affect it .

Buttons not showing( Namco Gun)

It has been a long time I used ePSXE for PS1 emulation, but I've recently encountered a problem where the 'A' and 'B' buttons aren't shown on-screen when the Namco Gun control mode is selected. This happens on my Mom's tablet( Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 9.7 inch) when trying to play both Time Crisis 1 and Project Titan. Save issues with Resident Evil games

I'm playing these games on my phone and everytime I try to save no matter which memory card I'm using I get access error it's really bad when I'm trying to save with Resident Evil 2 because I am forced to start a new game on either disk

Edit:Since I assigned Memcard files I have been able to save in Resident Evil 2 I will test this out on the other Resident Evil games hopefully it will work on them too, if possible could a moderator please close this topic?

Virtual gamepad skins stays off after connecting gamepad once

Hi!

Having a problem with epsxe. I connected my Bluetooth controller and got prompted with a message to make the virtual gamepad skin disappear. I accepted. Can't make it stay on ever since. It will appear when I adjust the settings in game but will disappear immediately after switching apps or restarting the application.

Tried putting it back on in the main menu but has the same effect.

Controller is not paired and Bluetooth is off btw.

Is there a solution for this?

Squaresoft games are stuttery

Playing on an Nvidia shield tv. Both Final Fantasy 8 and Chrono Cross stutter quite a lot. The frame rate says it's a steady 60 fps, so I thought it might have been just my imagination. So I tried a different emulator using retroarch and there was a definite improvement. Only seems to be there games that it happens with, all other games I've tried seem to work pretty flawlessly.

The controller is connected correctly and some games work fine with the controller, but bushido blade work respond at all. Hoping someone can help me out because i love this game.
