Metal Gear Solid 1 disc 2 started lagging and graphics look different

So heres what happened. I was playing MGS1 disc 2 and everything worked just fine, but on a latest loading screen where I was climbing up the ladder, game just stopped working and i was brought back to emulator screen where I loaded the game again but when I did the graphics looked much better and the game started lagging, I looked into settings and everything was as identical as in disc 1. The disc 1 is running just fine but disc 2 isnt, it looks better but it constantly have fps drops.

FFIX not saving on memcard

I'm trying to play the Japanese version of FFIX (SLPS-02000) on my Galaxy Note 3.
ePSXe 1.9.0, SCPH7502

with the exception of a few visual glitches here and there, the game runs smooth without any issues
however, I have one major problem - the game won't save on a memory card
it appears to have saved correctly but as soon as I restart the ROM and try to load the save via the game menu, it says the data is corrupted

Help on different discs FFVII

I'm using ePSXe version 1.9.24 on android and im playing FF7. (currently on disc 2). accidentally, I deleted disc 2 while cutting and pasting it on my pc. I tried to download disc 2 from different sites but when i play it, the save file cannot be found even the save states. However, when I use Disc 1 and Disc 3, the save files can still be detected.

Note:I download the 3 Discs as one and i cant remember where i downloaded it. Is there hope for me?

Disable touch screen controls.

I use my bluetooth game pad, with the touch screen controls supposedly off, but there still there, they're just transparent.
It's a bit annoying, mostly when i try to access ePSXe menu by swiping i press X or O by accident.
So any way to completely turn off touch screen control?

Amazon fire tv 2 preferences crash

Hi, I'm trying to get epsxe for android working on my Amazon fire tv 2 box. The emulation works fine, but when I open preferences, it crashes every time. Any ideas?

Thanks so much in advance - epsxe was the reason I bought the Amazon fire tv but I fear the 2nd generation is incompatible.

EPSXe with Shield TV

Can't get vibration on the Shield TV, despite vibration being enabled on both the main menu (and the game itself). This lack of vibration occurs with a wired 360 controller and the official Shield controller.

A few other misc questions:

-Anyone ever overclock beyond x1? If so what games and what are the advantages.

-How do I erase control schemes for particular controllers?

I have a strange problem. Bought a Moto Mod gamepad, works fine for most things, but certain games don't read a full forward tilt on the left stick correctly. Did some investigating and it looks like my controller is only hitting 85% or so of maximum in that direction, vs 100% in the others. This being android, I don't have many options to correct that.
Is there any way to change the axis ranges in ePSXe to match my controller input? Right now in any game that uses up/forward to run, I only...

So the changelog for 1.9.0 states custom pad skins are supported now, and i see options to select such.

I would very much like to make/convert some of my custom pads for epsxe use. Where can i find information about the required format?

Touchscreen controls have the reputation of being crap for emulation but since my Bluetooth pad broke I'm wondering can touch screen be playable?

If you're using touchscreen controls then please post your setting maybe with a pic and your own thoughts on how comfortable are they.

disable restore dialog

Hey,
I'm currently using the ARC Browser and it's very annoying when I use the home button to exit a game, which crashes it, and then when I launch another game on ePSXe again it asks if I want to restore the previous game (selecting "yes" crashes ePSXe).

Also, does anyone know of a way to make it so that I can exit the emulated game without having to go through the menu (as if I'm launching it from a shortcut?).

Hardware threading halves fps?

When turning on HW Software threading it halves the fps in my games which is odd, shouldn't threading help the performance.
Granted it's experimental since it was implemented but still.

My device GPD XD.

Oddly enough this doesn't occur on my smartphone, but then granted my phone is tad better then GPD XD but playing with touch controls suck.

Modifying touchscreen gamepad with new symbol buttons layout

Hey guys,

I love that you can re-skin the touchscreen buttons, but I've always been frustrated by the fact that you are unable to individually move the symbol buttons. They always have to be in their "Up Down Left and Right" configuration.

I am looking to make my own skin, but with the symbol buttons in a different arrangement to better suit my phone screen the RPGs I like to play (you only really use X and O). Ive made a mock up of how I would want to arrange the symbols (below)....

ePSXe doesn't recognize right analog stick (gamesir t1s)

I spent the entire morning trying to make this work, with no luck. I have a gamesir t1s controller. It works very well, but ePSXe v2.0.8 on Android is driving me nuts. It recognizes the right analog stick, as in "Player 1 map axis --> Gamepad test axis" I can see the input is received. But when I try to map any button moving the stick, nothing appens. R3 works fine though. Moreover, when I try to map any button to the left analog, it works as d-pad. To clarify, if I try to map (example) the...

Memory Card help

Hey guys,

Alright. So here I am. The newbiest of the newbs with emulators. I recently downloaded Matsu, played my childhood favorite Legend of Dragoon on state files until I came across the famous black screen. Read online, saw that with a memory card save and load, this would go away. I downloaded a ps1 memory app. Cannot figure out how to set up the files and saves.

Matsu will not let me do anything when I have a save that I did manage to somehow locate in my memory card manager under...

Custom game profile is not working?

As the title says, it is not working?
For example, for Road Rash game I set input to digital, then I save the game profile.
Then i reload the game it says "loading game profile..." for a few seconds and disappeared.
There is no confirmation that the profile is loaded, is it supposed to to that?
Obviously I checked input method and it is set to analog

[SUGGESTION)] Reset Button Mapping after 30 seconds

I read a lot of users who not be able to unmark a setted mapped button. Some android devices had no mouse or keyboard and so they can not unset the allready setted button.

So my suggestion would be a Timer. Settable in the settings, per default 30 seconds. When the user did not react in this time, the button would be unsetted.

Group Disks in Game View

Just a simple request for a UI enhancement...

It'd be nice if multi-disk games can by collapsed and expanded in the game list view so that they don't clutter our game lists too much. Games like the Final Fantasy series, which have as many as four disks, can make it slower to find things. Ideally, I think there would be a drop down arrow on the right side of the item which expands it to reveal all the disks, touching anywhere else on the item will, by default, either open the first disk or...

Is the ePSXe for Android still in active development?

I just bumped a lot of features I wish ePSXe for Android had and was wondering if it was still being worked on. I'd love to even build the features out since they're not big changes, but I believe it's closed source, is that right?

It’d be the perfect emulator with the additions in my last posts (they've done an amazing job thus far, maybe we can get it the rest of the way if we show our support).
